The «Il Trenino dei Castelli» will depart from Trento and take you on a magical discovery through the historical castles, the local treasures of art and culture, and allow you to indulge in some delicious local food and fine Trentino wines.
Everybody on board! The «Il Trenino dei Castelli» tour begins at the Trento railway station and takes you on a journey along Val di Non and Val di Sole. Breakfast is served on board and you will enjoy a tasty breakfast of fruits and local dairy products offered by Melinda and Latte Trento. You will then discover four perfectly preserved castles while learning more about the incredible history and the typical flavors in this corner of Trentino.
After the train reaches Malè, the heart of Val di Sole, the tour winds through the panoramic CASTEL SAN MICHELE in Ossana and the fascinating CASTEL CALDES in Caldes. You will be welcomed with a banquet of typical products brought together by the consortium «Strada della Mela». Lunch will be accompanied with sparkling and still wines offered by the winery Cantina Rotari Mezzacorona. The journey continues through the orchards surrounding the octagonal building of CASTEL VALER (open to the public for this special occasion), and we will arrive at the last stage of our journey, CASTEL THUN. Castel Thun is the most important castle in the area, with its eight towers and magnificent interiors.
